Account Types

Certain features in the dashboard will only be accessible to Accounts of a certain type. The type of the account corresponds to the licenses purchased under the account. Below explains how Connect classifies those types.

Personal Account Account only has a personal or trial license

Business Account Account has Business or Business Premium licenses. Business licenses for Trimble Connect can be purchased directly from the Connect Storefront, via your Trimble Sales Rep or as part of a bundle with other Trimble Applications. User and license management is done outside of Connect.

Enterprise Account Account has a Connect Enterprise entitlement. This entitlement is purchased direct through a sales channel or partner channel. User and license management is done inside of Connect.

Project Agreement Account Account has 1 or more Connect Project Agreement licenses. This entitlement is purchased direct through a sales channel or partner channel. User and license management is done inside of Connect.

Personal Accounts

If you have a personal account (meaning you have signed up for the Free version of Connect or have a SketchUp Trial License), you will not have access to the Account Admin Dashboard.

Business Accounts

If you have purchased one or multiple Business or Business Premium licenses, the Account Admin Dashboard will be accessible to you.

Management of the account, account users and licenses can only be done in the licensing system where your account came from.

Enterprise Accounts

If you have a purchased a Connect Enterprise entitlement you will have access to the Account Admin Dashboard.

Enterprise Accounts are accounts coming from the Trimble Account Management system with the main difference being the user and license management is done inside of Connect (via the Account Admin Dashboard or with the assistance of Trimble Connect Support).

Accounts with Project Agreements

If you have a purchased a Connect Project Agreement you will have access to the Account Admin Dashboard.

Account with Project Agreements are accounts coming from the Trimble Account Management system whose license is maintained by Trimble Connect. User and license management is done inside of Connect (via the Account Admin Dashboard or with the assistance of Trimble Connect Support).
