Editing Master Libraries

How Editing Works

Changes made to the master library template are not reflected to the projects that the template has been already applied to - this is because a new specific version of the master library is created when it is applied to a project to enable project specific changes.

At this time, it it not possible to push new changes to a project library.

Edit the Master Library

Edit the Library Name or Description

To edit a master library details

  1. Sign in to the Trimble Connect for Browser application.

  2. Navigate to the Property Set Libraries page in the Account Admin Dashboard.

  3. Click Edit master library to go into the Editor.

  4. Click the Overflow Menu › Library Settings located in the top right of the page.

  5. The Library details panel opens.

  6. Make the necessary changes.

  7. When you are done with your changes, click the Save button.

Edit Property Sets

To edit a master library's property sets

  1. Sign in to the Trimble Connect for Browser application.

  2. Navigate to the Property Set Libraries page in the Account Admin Dashboard.

  3. Click Edit master library to go into the Editor.

To edit the name or description

  1. Expand a Property Set's Settings menu and select Edit.

  2. The Detail Panel for the property set.

  3. Make the necessary changes.

  4. The changes will be reflected automatically.

To add more properties

  1. Click the Add property button.

  2. The property detail panel will be displayed where you can enter the name, a description, and define the property type.

  3. The changes will be reflected automatically.

To delete the property set
Deleting a property set from the master library does not delete the property set from any projects that the library has been applied to, since project libraries are not synced to the master library.

  1. Expand a Property Set's Settings menu and select Delete.

  2. A confirmation dialog will be displayed.

    1. Select Delete.
      Note: This cannot be undone.

When you are done with your changes, click the Save button.

Edit Properties

To edit a master library's properties

  1. Sign in to the Trimble Connect for Browser application.

  2. Navigate to the Property Set Libraries page in the Account Admin Dashboard.

  3. Click Edit master library to go into the Editor.

To edit the property

  1. Select the property you want to edit.

  2. The property detail panel will be displayed where you can edit the name, description or property type.

  3. The changes will be reflected automatically.

To delete a property
Deleting a property from the master library does not delete the property from any projects that the library has been applied to, since project libraries are not synced to the master library.

  1. Expand the property's overflow menu (the button is located in the last column of the table).

  2. A confirmation dialog will be displayed.

  3. Select Delete.
    Note: This cannot be undone.

When you are done with your changes, click the Save button.
